D&AD | Creative Review Inserts
Software | Adobe Photoshop
This was a D&AD brief from Creative Review, they said they wanted something that reflected what they were about, “The cutting edge of design and typography”. Through looking at the magazine I decided that the design and typography wasn’t actually that great, and around 35% of it was adverts.
The purpose of these inserts was to sell magazine subscriptions to the reader. So I decided to use scans of words from newspaper adverts to create my designs, and to reflect what I thought the magazine was about, bad typography and advertising. I obviously didn’t win a yellow pencil.
You can see the rest of the inserts here or some of my scribbled thought process here.
